This latest price rise is the final…
This latest price rise is the final straw. The Telegraph is already stuffed full of ads and this latest increase is pricing it out of the market.
We feel duped!
We feel duped. Called last week to cancel our subscription as we were not getting good use out of it. Not only did they to continue to give us the hard sell despite us categorically stating that we wished to cancel, but today we received notification from PayPal that they have just taken payment for a full year's subscription for £189!

TOTAL CHAOS AND INCOMPREHENSIBILITY!
My monthly [digital] subscription suddenly went up from 12.99 to 19.99!! I went online and it had an "upgrade" offer, which when I clicked for info told me I could upgrade to an annual subscription for £49 !! So obviously I decided to opt for the "upgrade" but when I checked the payment details, which I had just put through, it told me the FIRST payment was due in a years time!!
What on earth are they playing at? And I can't cancel my subscription(s) online - I have to phone customer service who aren't there at the moment!
And I'm not looking forward to the conversation when I do get through.

Subscription price madness
I had a subscription at £12.99 per month, received email to say it would soon be increased to £19.99 per month (£239.88 p.a.). Definitely not worth that much in my opinion, so I phoned to cancel. The adviser then offered me a new yearly subscription at £39, which I accepted. Very annoying tactics, they were obviously hoping I would swallow the inflated monthly price.

Useless and the new format means you can no longer read the readers comments which were mostly critical of the newspaper itself.
Greatly dislike the new format and sloppy poor writing as usual.

Welched
Advertised £59/yr and a free tea towel. Were charging me £19/mo. Outright dishonesty. Never did get the tea towel.

Utterly useless customer service
Utterly useless customer service. Have been experiencing issues with telegraph extra, and despite having a digital plus subscription if I click on something it asks me to upgrade to the subscription I already have! Have tried to explain this multiple times but customer services have no clue how to resolve. Time to cancel my subscription. Perhaps some negative social media will help get this resolved?
Love the Telegraph
Great news paper. Quality journalism. Daily updates. Using the Digital Version. Get what you pay for at the end of the day.

I am a Home News Delivery company of over 20 years with many customers of that length and about 100 of which the majority Subscribe to the Telegraph and it would seem that they are very unhappy to put it mildly with the amount being charged and increases in subs and even more so with the customer service to boot...as I am with their tactics on screwing agents like me with holding an increase in margins for 6 months after a price rise very greedy and lowering the percentage of margins, unfortunately services like I provide will soon go bust .... happy reading while it lasts

Just increased monthly digital…
Just increased monthly digital subscription by 53%. Tried to cancel my subscription. It’s impossible online. You have to call a UK customer line. I live overseas. No one replies to e mails or social media. Will cancel next time I am back… never to return (online or in print)

I've spent 2+ hours holding on a call to cancel my subscription and still no response. They make it deliberately extremely difficult bordering on impossible to cancel. DO NOT SIGN UP. You have been warned.
Telegraph Puzzles not working …
I have had a subscription to Telegraph puzzles since Sept 21. It stopped working on 15th Dec 2022. I can log on but when I try to access any puzzles they are the same everyday and are not working at all. Have logged 2 calls with tech support and all I get is clear cookies, log off/on. Its now 2 weeks on and no one has got back to me and I still have no access. Absolutely useless and unprofessional. I can't put a TS number because as a puzzle only subscriber you don't get one, in fact if you look in your account details it doesn't even acknowledge you have any subscriptions

I have been a printed telegraph reader…
I have been a printed telegraph reader for 25 years buying at the shop. It's now less newsworthy now just a selling newspaper full of ads and fewer articles most of those being paid for by an advertiser. So I can't take most articles seriously as they are paid for in some way. Every holiday review or every "This is what you must do" article is wrapped up with a company trying to push something.

Never again !
I have read the Telegraph for some forty years now, last year I made the mistake of purchasing a digital subscription for £89.00, the renewal price quoted this week was £189.00, upon trying to cancel this subscription I noted that the Telegraph have removed the option to cancel your subscription online and now you are required to call a subscription call centre, wait on hold for 15 minutes, then be subjected to hard sell spiel offering a Christmas special price.
A loyal reader of forty years......No more !
